Notes

Sawley Cut is a short distance downstream from the junction of the Trent and Mersey canal and the River Trent. There are a large marina, a boat club and full services here.

At the downstream end is a sometimes-manned pair of locks onto the river.

Water is available from a pontoon on the weir stream side of the island, close to the locks.
